The post harvest festival of light, Diwali was celebrated by our Little Bears on Thursday 4th November.

In East Village, the children made some Diwali inspired artwork to take home and the 2-3 room children were lucky enough to have some henna art done on their hands.

Our little bears in Wanstead Village made lanterns and diyas.

The baby room at Elephant Central explored “Rangoli” patterns as part of their creative celebration of Diwali. Rangoli patterns are created using different colours of powders and chalks. The cubs experimented with whole hand grasps of chalk together whilst using index fingers (or in some cases, all hands!) to make marks in the powders.
