Across all the nurseries, November started with lots of colour as the children celebrated Diwali.  The baby room at Elephant Central explored “Rangoli” which are bright and decorative patterns.  This artwork is generally created using coloured flour or salt which meant the children could get really hands on!

The children at East Village were lucky enough to get some henna on their hands.

At Wanstead Village, we have be utilising the children’s love of the game “What’s the time Mr Wolf”. The children got to make their own clocks and we all talked about where you would see a clock. With some of the children having seen the clock on Elizabeth Tower (Big Ben), we set about making our own replicas.

All our little Bears learnt all about Remembrance Day and the importance of the two minutes silence. We all created poppies to decorate the nurseries.

Before the weather turned very wintery, a number of our Little Bears went out into their local communites. The Elephant Central baby room went out on the hunt for leaves that had fallen from the trees which then meant they had lots of materials for some arts and crafts back in the warmth of the nursery. The Little Bears from our Wanstead Green nursery when out to Costa for a Babychino and a trip to the Park.
